Integrated Management System Audits

Organizations operating multiple ISO-based management systems do not necessarily need separate, disconnected audits.

Because ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 share common management-system structures and requirements, Appalachian EHS can evaluate multiple systems through an integrated audit approach. This allows common elements such as leadership, organizational context, risk and opportunity, documented information, competence, internal auditing, corrective action, and management review to be evaluated together while still examining the discipline-specific requirements of each standard.

An integrated approach can reduce duplication, improve consistency, and provide management with a clearer picture of how quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety systems function together.

More Than a Documentation Review

A compliant procedure does not necessarily mean an effective management system.

Our audits are designed to evaluate both documented requirements and implementation in the field. Depending on the scope, this may include:

  • Review of policies, procedures, records, objectives, and performance indicators

Preparing for Certification?

Appalachian EHS does not issue ISO certifications. Certification is performed by an independent certification body. Our role is to help organizations understand their current level of conformance, identify gaps, strengthen their management systems, and prepare for an external certification audit.
